In the final match of the tour, Exiles faced a strong Great Dalby side who played on a 'ridge and furrow' outfield.
Against a medium-pace opening attack, Bradshaw and Davies struggled to begin with with Davies holing out in the eighth over. Dom Herrington (42) helped increase the run rate and get Bradshaw going (64) before Keith Roberts (21 - including a straight six) and Jon Taylor (64no from 41 balls including a huge six over mid-wicket) really hit the bowling around as the Exiles finished on 207 for 4.
Despite Exiles' prayers to Jeff, Great Dalby made a very sound early response putting on 90 for the first wicket in good time. Sam Scott bowled a fourteen over spell of 4 for 56 to keep Dalby in check and was well supported by Gwyn Thomas (1 for 51) and Dom Herrington (1 for 34). The bowlers were well supported by the fielders with Jon Taylor taking a fine running catch. The outstanding performance though, was from Joe Farrington-Douglas as he fielded magnificently on the deep mid-wicket boundary right in the middle of the 'ridge and furrow' (what would Jeff have done?). It is for this performance Joe wins the Man of the Match award as the Exiles closed down the Dalby tail to triumph by 20 runs.
