An under-strength Exiles travelled to Epsom to meet Innings, like WICC another free-scoring side.
Again, the Exiles opening bowlers, Matt Cook (1 for 18) and Naren Patel (3 for 23) made a good start, but again the support bowlers including the experienced Gwyn Thomas, Nick Creak and Chris Bunton (was this the last time we shall ever hear, "New bowler, Bunton! Bunton!"?), were thrashed all over the place as Innings amassed a formidable 251 from its allotted 40 overs.
In reply, the Exiles opted for batting practice, making 149 for 4 with Keith Roberts unbeaten on 72 and Nick Creak making a typically brisk 28. Chris Bunton also made a cameo at the end of the Exiles innings as we sank to a 101 run defeat. Man of the match was Keith Roberts.
