Another day of typical British weather - it was cold and overcast playing conditions against Old Ruthlisians. Most of Exiles key players were missing as they were supporting England at Lords playing against New Zealand in their 1st Test.

With the absence of Exiles Captain Bernard, Shahid Iqbal was leading the Exiles, won the toss and elected to bat first. Exiles lost their first wicket on 16 as Ansar got a bit unlucky given LBW; Exiles lost the first 4 wickets very quickly at 47 and looked in deep in trouble but thanks to debutant Tariq 48 and Shahid Iqbal 31, putting on a 45 Run partnership on a very difficult batting track.

The Exiles lost their 5th wicket on 92 as Shahid Iqbal lost his wicket going for a big shot, another debutant Mohammad Siyar joined Tariq and put a quick 56 run partnership giving Exiles bowlers to defend a competitive total of 164 in 40 overs, as the Exiles ended their innings 164/8.

Defending 164, Exiles started their second half in style as Ansar got the first 3 wickets of Old Ruthlisians - with all of them bowled - before the captain of Old Ruthlisians came in to the crease and disturbed the Exiles fielders as he was in aggressive mode and was going for every single ball, but the Exiles bowlers kept him in the bay and thanks to Naren who not only got the important wicket of the opposition captain, but claimed 4 wickets for 21 runs in his 8 overs.

All Exiles bowlers - Tariq, Bilal and Masie - bowled really well and restricted the opposition to 126, claiming all 10 wickets.

Exiles won the match quite comprehensively in the end by 38 runs.
