The Sheen openers looked good but they were both dimsissed before they really got going and the Exiles kept things fairly tight throughout the innings.
Ling with 1-13 and Ahmed 1-17 bowled well and Sheen were restricted to 140-8.
In reply Exiles got off to a flying start with a flurry of boundaries from Ansar and Keith Roberts. They'd put on 69 when Ansar was caught near the boundary for an excellent 49. The new batsman, Ajmal, was out in the same over in identical fashion.
Things were not quite so good now for the Exiles and it became a bit of a struggle in the face of some accurate slow bowling, especially from Smith.
Roberts was still there however and he was joined by Wingfield. These two put on 30 runs before Roberts was out for a very valuable 41.
Wingfield held firm and his 16 not out, together with Masie 15 not out, who hit the winning runs, saw the Exiles home with just over 4 overs left, at 144 for 6.
