In the return fixture against Morden Corinthians, the Exiles elected to batted first, but struggled against a spin-based attack. Only John Hodgson (54) passed twenty in a disappointing total of 116 all out (though, we should mention Naren Patel's three not out which included a late cut, taught to him by Jeff).
Morden had ten overs batting before tea, which proved vital as Andy Wingfield bowled an outstanding spell to take three wickets, and Naren Patel took a wicket in a very tidy spell. In very damp conditions, debutant Hugh Ind (5 for 18) then bowled an excellent line and, backed up by some fine catches, we won by eight runs.
