A weary Exiles side were back in Nottingham for this final fixture of their tour. The Exiles batted first and made a bright start with 40 runs coming from the first 10 overs. However, the dismissal of Mark Bradshaw for 24 slowed the scoring as the Exiles found themselves 50 for 4 after 21 overs. Chris Bunton and Kristian Armstrong then played well in a stand of 37 notable for its quick (suicidal perhaps!) running, before Bunton was dismissed for 14, having finally shown the batting form this season we know he is capable of, by learning that not every ball is there to be mown over mid-wicket irrespective of where it is pitched. The rest of the Exiles batting failed to make much impression with the Exiles finally being dismissed for 120, Kristian Armstrong top scoring with 29. There had been a number of complaints from middle order batsmen who had been demoted in order to give some others a chance to prove themselves. However, these indignant miseries proceeded to justify their lowly positions, scoring a single each.

Nick Creak dismissed one of the University openers for a duck, but the next two batsmen prospered against some ill-directed bowling before Jeff Hilson was rewarded for his hostility with a wicket. With only a few runs required, Psy-Chem collapsed losing four quick wickets through a run out and some excellent late bowling from Sam Scott and Nick Creak. However, this all came too late as Psy-Chem scraped home by four wickets.

A disappointing end to a very successful and enjoyable tour but the Exiles did not disgrace themselves as they fought hard to win in all the games. Only when tiredness began to take its toll in the last game did the Exiles' fielding begin to falter. Man of the match for the Exiles was Nick Creak for bowling figures of 3 for 33. Thanks should be passed on to the Priestland family for their roles throughout the tour; for organising the tour, providing the teas, and scoring. A special mention should also go to John and Wil Scott for driving the team bus. Men of the tour were Sam Scott for some fine all-round performances and John Priestland for organising the tour and playing the best innings of the weekend.
