The omens for the second game of the season were not good. It had been a struggle to get a side out and the Exiles only managed to field a full team by "borrowing" a player from the opposition. What's more, former Exiles stalwart, Chris Bunton didn't turn up to watch either. In Bradshaw's absence, Exiles were captained by Wingfield. On winning the toss, Innings elected to bat and despite some fine bowling by Chamberlain, Innings got a flying start scoring at more than 5 runs an over and after 17 overs had put on 102 with the loss of two wickets and were on course for a total of 200 plus.

An inspired bowling change then turned their run feast into a struggle. Sam Scott replaced Patel at the Alexandra Road end and with his third ball removed the dangerous number three who had already plundered 65 runs by some fine hitting and pulling. Innings were dismissed for 143 in 31 overs with Sammut taking 3 for 4 in 4 overs and Scott taking 4 for 19 from 5.2 overs.

The Exiles chase was doomed from the start when facing his fourth ball Roberts was given LBW and Exiles were 1 down with nothing on the board. Bloore was joined by Wil Scott and the partnership did not last long when Wil going for a second run was run out by a direct hit. Bedford joined Bloore, but was uneasy facing spin bowling and survived three close LBW appeals. In the meantime Bloore was playing a watchful innings, combining sound defence with some good stroke play. Once Bloore went, the resistance folded, but not before some good hitting from Sammut (20), "borrowed" player (19) and Wingfield (13 not out). Exiles were all out for 107 to lose by 36 runs. Man of the match was Andrew Sammut.
