The Exiles met Old Rutlishians for the third time this season. Old Rut’s elected to bat and compiled 156 all out in 43 overs. All the Exiles bowlers - Hawes (2 for 31), Bunton (2 for 38), Naren Patel (2 for 39), debutant Steve Brammar (2 for 24) – took wickets, though the best bowling was from Gwyn Thomas (1 for 16 in nine miserly overs).
Exiles easily reached their target thanks to an incredible 90 not out from Steve Brammar. Steve received support from the dependable Keith Roberts (24) and the less dependable Chris Bunton (15 at No.5 – about seven places too high in the order) as the Exiles cruised past their target for the loss of four wickets.
Man of the match was undoubtedly Steve Brammar.
