The Exiles began the season with a very much winning draw against Addiscombe. A solid top-order batting performance (Roberts 53, M Bradshaw 22, Armstrong 31) helped the Exiles to a respectable total. Patel and Devlin were too good for Addiscombe with the ball, but the Exiles were not quite able to force victory as Addiscombe’s veterans held out for the draw.
