On winning the toss, the Exiles again chose to bat.

Despite some early difficulties on a slow wicket against "Gwyn's Dad", Glyn, openers Keith Roberts and Luke Butler made up for their batting failures of the previous day (though both were beaten for pace on several occasions) with an opening partnership in excess of 50. Luke was eventually bowled by Newage's best bowler, Wayne Morris, for 23. Dom Herrington made a very positive 37 and Keith eventually reached 52 before also falling to the persevering Morris for 52. Wil Scott (10), Sam Scott (11), Robin Airey (10), and Andy Sammut (12) all chipped in before Jon Taylor (29no) and Mark Bradshaw (12no) put on 40 runs in just over three overs as the innings closed on 215 for 7.

The Newage openers began brightly against Matt Cook and Gwyn Thomas, but despite their good start, still remained behind the required scoring rate. Matt Cook then took two quick wickets to put Newage in trouble. The real blow to Newage though, was when Gwyn dismissed the batsman in the "Damn Seagulls" cap for 28 as this precipitated a ridiculous collapse from 50 for 2 to 57 for 9. Sam Scott recovered from his bowling nightmare of the previous day to take 4 for 8, including a hat-trick, and Quentin Davies took 3 for 26.

Newage's last wicket pair batted very well in a last wicket partnership of 27 (with Glyn showing his son Gwyn how to bat), before Sam Scott took the final wicket.

The Exiles completed a 131 run win, probably their second biggest win, behind the 161 run defeat of the Tate Gallery in 1998. Man of the match was Sam Scott.
