Win number 15 is Taylor-Made for Exiles…

Exiles finished a very successful 2015 season with a 15th win – and an 8th in a row – with an emphatic 10 wicket victory over Old Merchant Taylors.

It was the bowlers who really stole the show this time – with the wickets once again shared round and sixth-choice bowler Simon Gundry picking up 2 for 0. OMT were skittled for 53.

Gundry (29 not out) was promoted to open the batting to ensure his 8th innings of the season and his unbroken partnership of 55 with Steve Parkinson (24 not out) ensured he completed an entire season of Exiles cricket unbeaten.

A terrific performance to finish a record-breaking season for the Exiles.

Record Breakers!

Exiles won for the 14th time this season and in-so-doing broke the club record for wins in a season.

All bowlers contributed with wickets as Ploughmans were restricted to 139 for 9 off their 35 overs in wet conditions.

A partnership of 88 between Steve Parkinson (38) and John Tither (44) led the Exiles close to their required target before Gundry and Wingfield got the Exiles home with only a ball to spare.

So 7 wins in a row. OMT at Nursery Road next week to finish off a successful season in style.
