A fabulous 88 from skipper Shahid wasn’t enough to save the Exiles against Ploughmans at Dulwich.
Batting first Ploughmans were indebted to a partnership of 117 for the fourth wicket, en route to 188 all out – with Ajmal picking up a late 4 for 12.
Shahid smashed 88 in response but no-one else got to 20 as Exiles fell 28 short.
Exiles produced another very fine bowling display in beating Battersea Ironsides by 5 wickets on a hot day in Earlsfield.
Exiles elected to bowl despite the sweltering conditions and it soon seemed vindicated as Masie Musakhel took 4 for 26. The homesides number 5 then hit 49 before being dismissed by Yahya – who continued his recent excellent form with 3 for 2 to close the innings on 113.
Exiles wobbled early in reply, but a steady 32 from captain Shahid, contributions from Yahya and Hasan before a belligerent 29 not out from debutant Ishaq took the side home in less than 20 overs.

Exiles match against new opponents Bookham was rained off with the low scoring match evenly poised.
On a dodgy council track with sharply variable bounce, Bookham elected to bat and were soon in trouble thanks to another excellent spell by Yahya with 4 for 18.
But a counter attacking 63 off 39 from the home teams number 4 – including 38 off one 8 ball over – took the home side up to 130 all out, although with nearly 18 overs unused.
Exiles found the going tough in response, but fortified by extras in particular, looked well in the chase before the heavens opened.

After an excellent bowling performance, Exiles batting failed them en route to a 41 run defeat in a surprisingly low scoring game at a thundery Dundonald Rec.
Bowling first Masie took 3 early wickets and Exiles never looked back with Siyar also taking 3. However from 49 for 7, the Kings Road tail critically wagged well, taking their side to 116 all out.
After rain and thunder, Exiles batting never threatened to win the game against accurate bowling.
