Possibly the most satisfying victory of the season followed as Energy Exiles defeated the Department of Culture, Media & Sport (DCMS) for the first time ever, the ease of victory being far greater than the six-wicket margin would suggest.
The Exiles’ eight man bowling attack (Tom Cox eight overs for only two runs, Kevin Miller 3 for 19, Stuart Devlin 2 for 12) restricted DCMS to 169 for 9 before the batting of Bradshaw (32), Amil Patel (59), Sam Scott (37no), and Jeff Hilson (a very intelligent and correct 16no) saw the Exiles home.
