Exiles bomb at Raynes Park..

Exiles were beaten for the fifth time in a row, this time by Unabombers at Raynes Park.

Exiles batters found the going tough in the early stages, stumbling to 65 for in the 26th over, despite 27 for Keith, before a fortifying partnership of 61 between debutant Aman Panesar (33no) and Andy Wingfield (20no) took the score up to 126 for 5 off the 35 overs.

It was never likely to be enough however despite a spirited bowling performance from the Exiles as Alex Barnes hit 70 not out to guide the Unabombers home, with 5 Exiles bowlers picking up a wicket.

Exiles off track at Kenley railway..

Exiles were beaten by 108 runs at Southern Railway and Kenley CC.

On losing the toss Exiles fielded first and generally did well reducing the home side to 146 for 8 – with 3 wickets for Phil and 2 for Keith, before a late 60 not out from Kenley’s number 9 raised the home sides score to 195 for 8 off their 40.

Despite 31 for the opening wicket, Exiles were never in the chase against accurate home bowling. Mark anchored for an unbeaten 20, but Evan provided some quality shots and optimism for the future with his 15. Exiles were restricted to only 87 for 7.
