Exiles beaten by S&M…

Exiles were well beaten on Sunday by Streatham & Marlborough CC.

On winning the toss, the home side raced to an excellent 94 for 2 at drinks after 20 overs, before a fine spell of 3 for 30 by skipper for the day Phil Ling restricted their progress.

Thereafter Exiles did well to reduce Streatham to 106 for 7, before good batting by the tail took them to 170 for 9 after their 40, despite 3 for 15 by guest Michael Simpson.

Exiles batting continued to struggle in response, with wickets lost regularly and despite 45 from Andy Wingfield, the match was comfortably lost, by 57 runs.

Beddington away next week.
