Exiles well beaten by Nomads…

Exiles suffered their first defeat of 2019 with a 7 wicket defeat by the Clapham Nomads.

Batting first, the Exiles started well thanks to Bilal Musakhel (45), but collapsed from 87 for 2 to 95 for 7, before Andy Wingfield (43no) rebuilt with the tail – including a 35 partnership with unheralded batsman Phil Ling for the last wicket – taking the side to 180 all out, probably 30 short of par.

2 strikes from Bilal (2 for 21) saw Nomads slip to 48 for 3, but a superb unbeaten partnership of 135 between Hassan (76no) and the hard-hitting Zia (64no) took the Nomads home.
