Exiles dodge rainfall and the Whalers..

Exiles picked up a fifth win of 2018 courtesy of an 18 run win over the Whalers in an engrossing encounter in the Dundonald Rec drizzle.

Exiles mustered 140 all out batting first, with Amil Patel (34) at the start of the innings and Simon Gundry (33) marshalling the tail, ensuring the Exiles achieved a competitive total to defend.

Whalers reached 54 without loss in reply before Ling (2 for 34) broke through with a caught (caught) and bowled. Thereafter Exiles took wickets regularly – shared throughout the bowlers with Yayha Khan (2 for 13) and then Jibran Ahmed (2 for 18) finishing things off.

A really pleasing win for the Exiles after a tough battle. Ploughmans at Abbey Rec next week.
