Exiles returned to action on Sunday – with a hastily re-arranged game against SLOBs – South London Oddballs – at Beddington Park.
Exiles made a steady start in stifling conditions before a regular loss of wickets saw the side bowled out for only 95, with debutant Ray Clarke working hard for 43.
95 was never enough as SLOBs cruised home only 1 down, with the only wicket taken by Iqbal (1 for 19).
Whalers at DunDonald Rec next Sunday.
