A fabulous debut hundred by Hussain Qureshi handed the Exiles a 107 run win over Unabombers on Sunday.
At 51 for 4 the Exiles were teetering, but a partnership of 67 between Qureshi and Leuvennink (38) restored the innings and a hard hit partnership of 107 in 13 overs at the end of the innings with Wingfield (37) supporting Qureshi to a powerful hundred – with 7 sixes – led the Exiles to an above par 233 for 7 off their 35 overs.
Wingfield and Ahmed then reduced Unabombers to 1 for 3 and despite 52 from away skipper Begley, Unabombers were never in the chase, with most bowlers picking up wickets as the away side were bowled out for 126 in the last over, with Alex Roberts picking up 2 wickets.
An impressive confidence boosting win. Whalers away at Chiswick next week.
