Exiles beat Whalers in rollercoaster ride..

Exiles beat Whalers by 15 runs in a topsy-turvy game at Chiswick, to pick up their 7th win of 2015.

The toss was won for the first time in 14 (fourteen) matches and Exiles were batting. A partnership of 99 between Keith Roberts (32) and Drew Scott-Dawkins with his maiden club fifty of 74 off 58, saw the Exiles well-placed before John Tither’s quicker 46 not out saw Exiles finish on a competitive 186 for 5 off 35.

Whalers reply started in steady fashion and they’d reached 122 for 2 before a hat-trick from Andy Wingfield (4 for 25, and still far from fully fit!) brought the Exiles back into the game. At 138 for 6, Exiles were well on top before some lower order hitting batting pushed Whalers back into pole, only for a stunning one-handed catch by Bernard Leuvennink to a steepler allowed Tither (2 for 16) to then clinch the final wicket.

A win by 15 runs. WICC at Nursery Road next week.
