Ploughman devoured…

Exiles got back to winning ways with a 5 wicket victory over Ploughmans.

Although a 12th successive toss was lost, Exiles generally bowled and fielded well on a lively Dulwich track. Wickets were shared with Ammar Akhtar (2 for 21) and Simon Gundry (2 for 24) the pick, as Ploughmans closed on 204 for 8 off 40, their number 3 making 98.

Marc Simpson (66) was the mainstay of the Exiles reply and supported by John Tither (34) and Bernard Leuvennink (41), Exiles were always ahead of the asking rate, and Gundry (17 not out) ensured the Exiles got home.

A good chase. Next week sees the Exiles back at Nursery Road, oppo as yet to be confirmed.
