Exiles suffered their second successive defeat as they were beaten by 94 runs by Whalers at Nursery Road – Whalers 8th successive victory.

Ammar Akhtar (3 for 55) struck twice as Exiles took early ascendancy, but a long Whalers batting line-up ensured the runs continued to flow, despite the fine efforts of Marcin Zieleniewski (3 for 32); Whalers closed on 206 for 8.

The less said about the Exiles reply the better as they soon slipped to 43 for 7 before a partnership of 48 between Andy Wingfield (44) – who batted with Keith Roberts as a runner throughout – and Terence Moynihan (18) at least got the Exiles within a hundred.
