Exiles were thumped by 183 runs in their last game of the season by Raynes Park Former Pupils.
After losing the toss, the Exiles bowlers and fielders worked very hard and for a while had their opposition in check, only for their no 5 to accelerate powerfully at the end to 122 not out – out of a team score of 226/6 – with 16 boundaries and 4 maximums. Phil Ling (2 for 25) bowled superbly with the new ball and Andy Wingfield (2 for 33) was the only other bowler to pick up more than one wicket.
The less said about the Exiles reply the better – as they were skittled for a mere 43 in under 19 overs – and at one stage were 21 for 7 – with only 10 batters.
Exiles finish the season with 8 wins and 12 losses. AGM is set for Monday 13 October.
