A fabulous 101 from 59 balls from Karamvir Mangat steered the Exiles to a morale-boosting 100 run victory over the Clapham Nomads on Sunday.
Exiles batted first and 35 from the skipper John Tither set up the innings before Mangat’s century – with his second fifty off 19 balls – well supported by the rest of the Exiles line-up – saw the Exiles finish on 227 for 7 off their 35 overs.
And the Exiles bowling attack bowled well collectively to restrict their opponents to 127 – despite another fifty from Hassan, with Simon Gundry (3 for 14) the pick of the bowlers and the Exiles fielders also picking up 3 run-outs.
Next week sees the Exiles at Haydon’s road, though the opposition are as yet unconfirmed….
