Exiles were beaten by 7 wickets by the Clapham Nomads thanks to a superb unbeaten 104 from Hassan Khan.
The batting performance was decent – as Craig Williams (61), Vishal Shete (72, before retiring with a pulled hamstring) and a quick-fire 35 off 25 from Dominic Hodgson saw the Exiles compile 205 for 3 from their 35 overs – which looked plenty having been inserted on a wet wicket.
But the Nomads batters had different ideas and Prasanth (59) and Hassan put together a superb stand, as Nomads made a requirement of 150 off 20 overs look comfortable.
Exiles were hampered by only having 10 players and Vishal’s injury, but it was a fine chase from the Nomads none-the-less. Next up is a trip to Old Rutlishians.
