WICC inflicted a 34 run defeat on the Exiles at Nursery Road on Sunday.
Batting first, WICC powered to 194 for 7 off their 35 overs, with their no 1 batsman scoring 98 and their no 3 58. Phil Chamberlain (2 for 20) and Marcin Zieleniewski (1 for 20) bowled economically at the start before the batsmen cut loose, though Bernard Leuvennink (3 for 40) took 3 wickets in four balls in attempt to halt the onslaught.
The Exiles were never up with the required rate in their reply and it was only a fine, late knock of 46 from Dominic Hodgson that saw the Exiles to 160, though Phil Ling – with 6 not out – scored his highest score in several seasons.
A return to Chiswick to face Agricola is up next for the Exiles.
