Exiles were well beaten – again – this time by the ‘weak medium’ Cheam Cricket Club Sunday eleven. Even having four ‘Wills’ in the side was to no avail.
It was a bad toss to lose, but despite fielding their strongest batting line-up of the season, the Exiles quickly subsided to 64 all out, with only Gundry (15) and Kent (18) reaching double figures.
Post tea, with conditions having eased somewhat, the Cheam batsman played well to cruise home, with only Clephane (1 for 17) having any joy – albeit in an expensive over.
Hopefully Exiles can have an enjoyable end to the season at Nursery Road next week.
